It’s time to explore The Trail of Scarecrows in Fairfield County! We are thrilled by all the enthusiasm our county has shown for this fun event. There are almost 250 scarecrows scattered throughout 14 communities in Fairfield County.
How can you join in the fun? It’s easy! Check out the digital map here and click on the community name in the left column that you want to explore. This will show you a list of the scarecrows in that community and if you click on the “map it” icon, you can see them on a map for your convenience.

Once downloaded, open the app and select the town you want to find scarecrows in. You can click “Map It” to see where all the scarecrows are located. When you find a scarecrow, click “Check-In” and enter the code that is on the sign. Once you’ve “Checked-In” at half (or more!) of the scarecrows in that community, you can submit your completed challenge and stop by the Visitor Center at 158 W. Wheeling Street in downtown Lancaster to pick up your scarecrow swag.
Be sure to vote for your favorite scarecrow in every community by using this link bit.ly/2021ScarecrowVoting ! One scarecrow in each of the 14 communities will win a $50 Visa gift card for the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Visit Fairfield County.
Businesses, groups, organizations, and residents created scarecrows that are on display all over the area. You won’t want to miss a single one of these cute and clever displays that celebrate the Autumn Experience throughout the month of October.

Named “The Scarecrow Capital of Ohio,” Fairfield County has 14 communities displaying fantastic scarecrows during the entire month of October. Visit them all, vote for your favorite, and share your pics by using #FCScarecrows21.
