Peak fall foliage is predicted to start the last week of October! Join an education specialist to appreciate the colors of autumn during a relaxing two-mile hike. There will be a brief introduction before setting out and frequent stops during the walk for interpretation.

What to Expect
The Paw Paw and Walnut Creek trails combine to make a two-mile-long loop. The trails are considered easy-to-moderate; there are stairs to the ravine, the terrain is uneven, and there are some hills. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The trail could be muddy, so select your clothing and footwear to match weather conditions.

Where to Meet
Meet in the main (front) parking lot of Smeck Park.

What to Bring
It is suggested to bring drinking water; there is no potable water at this location. You may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent. Always check for ticks after being outdoors.

Pets
Well-mannered pets are welcome at this program. They must always be under control and on a leash no longer than 6’. If your dog shows aggression toward people or other dogs, you may be asked to separate from the group. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste.
