Description
The Sherman House Museum is celebrating a major milestone in 2026 – 75 years in operation! In September of 1951, after years of negotiations, planning and preparation – the Sherman House officially opened as a museum. Originally under the control of the Ohio Historical Society, the museum was transferred to the Fairfield County Heritage Association in 1982 and has remained in their care ever since. As the only museum in the country dedicated to the Sherman Family, visitors from all over the world have travelled to its door. If it has been several years since you have experienced this landmark, then please consider returning for FREE admission on Saturday, September 5th.
