Description
You’re invited to join Fairfield County on Tuesday, April 28th at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds for a special Heritage Tree Dedication Ceremony as part of the America 250–Ohio Heritage Tree Program. America 2050-Ohio is planting a white oak tree in all of Ohio’s 88 counties to honor the state’s role in the nation’s founding and commemorate the history of the location where it’s planted. The program will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Shelter House located near the Feeder Creek Show Arena, as indicated on the map below. Parking is available in the grass and gravel areas near the speed barns and show arena, also noted on the map. Guests are asked to enter the fairgrounds through the main gate off E. Fair Avenue in Lancaster. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to attend a ribbon-cutting to officially dedicate the newly planted white oak tree. They hope you’ll join them as they celebrate the community’s history and create a lasting symbol for future generations.
