New month, new book! For September, Double Edge Brewing Co. is diving into their banned book pick: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This book is available for free download on the Libby app and Hoopla (through the Fairfield County District Library). They meet on the last Sunday of every month at 1:00 p.m., so come hang out, grab a seat, and talk books with them. No stress if you didn’t finish the book — listening and chatting totally counts. For September’s meeting, bring a non-fiction (no memoirs) pick for November and they’ll put it up for a vote. This club is open to anyone 16+ and is all about being welcoming, relaxed, and meeting new people.
As always, they’ve got beer, cider, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails. Zero pressure to drink — just come as you are. Son in Law Pizza Co food truck will be on the patio from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Not feeling pizza, feel free to bring you your own food! At Double Edge, they’re about building community, brewing tradition and this is one of their favorite ways to do it. See you Downtown!
