Color Improvisations 3: A Major Exhibition of Contemporary Quilts features 38 large quilts that explore color, scale, and improvisation in contemporary textile art. Curated by internationally recognized artist Nancy Crow, the exhibition at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio includes works by quiltmakers from the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, highlighting the creativity, innovation and artistic excellence shaping contemporary quilt making today. Using bold abstract forms and richly worked fabrics, the artists balance exquisite skill with creative risk. Their quilts invite viewers to experience color as movement, texture, and feeling. This exhibition will run from October 3rd, 2026 to January 3rd, 2027.
