Fairfield County Heritage Association Spring Meeting: Dineh Tah’ Navajo Dancers

Description

Join Fairfield County Heritage Association for its 2023 Spring Meeting! This meeting will be free and open to the public! It will be different than other meetings to accommodate special guests. There will be a brief meeting and then turn it over to the Dineh Tah’ Dancers led by director, Shawn Price. They will be performing traditional Navajo dances. The Navajo signed a treaty in 1868 with the U.S. Government, represented at that time by William T. Sherman. It was the only treaty that gave Native Americans back any of their land. There will be no dinner served at this meeting as it is open to the public. The free event is possible due to a grant from the Diversity, Inclusion, and Empowerment Fund of the Fairfield County Foundation.

No tickets or reservations are necessary. Learn more or follow this event on Facebook.
