Description
Hunt for dragon and damselflies along Sycamore Creek in Hague Nature Preserve on Saturday, August 8th! If you have any, bring insect nets as you will attempt to capture some to examine and photograph prior to releasing them. Bring your camera! There will be a 1/2-mile hike from the parking area to the program site. This section of the preserve is being restored and is shrubby, so wearing long pants is strongly recommended. You may also want to wear a long-sleeved shirt or arm sleeves for protection. Don’t forget your sunscreen, a sunhat, and/or insect repellent. Potable water is not available at this location; bring your own drinking water. Keep in mind, there are no restrooms in the area you will be in.
This program is limited to 10 participants. Each registrant or the parent/guardian of a minor must agree to the terms of a Release and Waiver of Liability that is part of the signup process. Register online now before ticket sell out! Registrants will receive a confirmation by email that includes details about the Pickerington address and parking information. Pets are never permitted in nature preserves. While in Hague Nature Preserve, you should not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life. There is a no alcohol and no smoking policy in the preserve. Except for prearranged visits and special events such as this one, Hague Nature Preserve is not open to the public.
