Description

Samuel Rowe, a canal boat captain of the “Lester” and “Rebecca,” will narrate this program from his home port Lockville at The Wagnalls Memorial. He will share stories about his life and family’s adventures on the Ohio Canal, where 7 of his 10 children were born. The presentation will include photos of the canal, and attendees can ask questions about his experiences from the 1840s to the 1880s. This program is presented by the Fairfield County Park District.
