Local Foods Guide
The Fairfield County office of OSU Extension is proud to provide you this listing of local food growers, producers and markets.
When you buy from local growers like these, you’ll reap the benefits of eating tasty, freshly harvested and produced food. In contrast, supermarket produce loses nutrition and flavor on its long journey to the shelf. And as you benefit your health by eating local, you’ll help out the local economy and environment. Your money will go directly to local farmers, who patronize local businesses. And because locally grown food requires less fuel and chemicals to transport and produce, it impacts the environment less.
