Day One: Learning and Laughter
Begin at AHA! A Hands-On Adventure, a children's museum. Explore this lively, educational and fascinating place for children (especially those age 0-8). You are going to like it. But most importantly the KIDS are going to love it! Open Thursday-Sunday (2 hours) or create an art piece to remember the day at Art and Clay on Main.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch downtown at many locally owned restaurants. Four Reasons Bakery & Deli, Square Seven Coffee House or Diamond Jim’s Pizza.
Ohio Glass Museum is a favorite of Adults and Children alike. Experience the process of blown glass creation in our Glass Blowing Studio which is open for demonstrations during regular museum hours. (1hour)
Mt Pleasant, Lancaster, Ohio Explore Mt. Pleasant! This sandstone rock, used by the native American and settlers as an observation point and fortress, is 250 feet high and has 2 acres of flat top area. Located in Rising Park, you can take the easy climb to the summit for a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. (2 hours)

Day Two: Fun - Outdoors Style
Fun at Slate Run State Park After a great breakfast head out for a day of exploring! Tour Slate Run Historical Farm and step back in time to an authentic 1880's working farm where you can experience firsthand what life was like on an Ohio farm 100 years ago. (2 hours)
Enjoy lunch at Rule 3 in Pickerington. Have fun with the latest and greatest arcade around.
Rock Mill Park encompasses the historic Rock Mill, a stunning grist mill built in 1824 above the Hocking River Falls and the scenic Rock Mill Covered Bridge, constructed in 1901. Standing 90 feet above the gorge of the falls, Rock Mill stands as a testament to the rich agricultural heritage of Fairfield County, whose “fair fields” attracted so many brave pioneers in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. (1 hour)
After visiting the mill walk through the adjacent 1901 Rock Mill Covered Bridge and enjoy the pleasant sounds of the Hocking River waterfall. Check the website for mill hours.
Pickerington Ponds Metro Park features 1,600 acres of wetlands, wooded lots and fields. Check out Ellis Pond, a glacial kettle lake formed when large chunks of ice broke free from the Wisconsin glacier. Enjoy hiking on five designated trails. View wildlife from the observation areas.
