Lunch

🍔Grab one…or two…or more custom-made sliders with a side of tater tots at Hangry City Grill & Spirits in Pickerington.

🥣Try the Beer Cheese Mac – extra delicious when it’s topped with BBQ pork – at Amanda’s popular spot, The Village Food & Spirits.

Staff Tip:  Jeremy believes that you should definitely go for the onion ring on top of the Beer Cheese Mac.

Dinner

🍪Find the finest freshly made candies and cookies at Candy Cottage in Lancaster.

Staff Tip:  Fran is certain that the double dipped dark chocolate peanuts are absolutely worth every calorie!

☕What a selection!  Head to Pickerington for a scone, cinnamon roll, cookie, muffin, or danish at Porter’s Coffee House and Bakery.

🍦We all scream for ice cream from Weldon’s Ice Cream on the shores of Buckeye Lake.

Staff Tip:  Jonett admits she’s an ice cream fanatic, and she just can’t get enough of Black Raspberry in a waffle cone!

How to Work Off All Those Calories

🥏Ready to tackle a couple of the most highly rated disc golf courses in Ohio? Make a stop in Lancaster at Eagle’s Nest (Alley Park) or Flat Rocks (Keller-Kirn Park).

🥾Hike the 2-mile Paw Paw Trail at Smeck Park in Baltimore.

Staff Tip:  Jonett thinks one of the greatest attractions in the park is the historic Cruitt House.

📷Bring the binoculars for an invigorating walk through some of the region’s best birdwatching sites at Pickerington Ponds Metro Park.

🏞Enjoy the gorgeous WPA suspension bridge on your way up the hill to see the only known “X” shaped ancient earthwork at Cross Mound Park in Amanda.

Staff Tip:  Fran is amazed by the fact that the 4 arms of the “X” are aligned with the 4 compass points.  The mound was probably a directional sign on the Great Hopewell Road.

🚴‍♀️Head over to one of only two central Ohio mountain biking trails at Chestnut Ridge Metro Park near Lithopolis.
