Lancaster Holiday Spirit Trail | 12/01/2022 – 12/31/2022 Take a stroll or drive around Lancaster, Ohio this December to see how residents and businesses are showing off their holiday spirit! With beautiful lights and holiday decor, you won’t want to miss these festive spots this season.
Advent Window Walk | 12/01/2022 – 01/03/2023 Each night of December leading up to Christmas, a new window design will be revealed on a downtown Lancaster home. By Christmas night, 25 unique designs will be illuminated for viewing. Take a stroll with the family to see this real-life advent calendar!
Tipsy Tinsel & Trolley | 12/09/2022 – 12/10/2022 Enjoy a trolley ride for an hour-long holiday light tour featuring carols, trivia, holiday goodies, a hot chocolate bar, and more! This event is for adults only – participants may grab a drink from one of the downtown Lancaster DORA-participating establishments and hop on the trolley for the Tipsy Tinsel Trolley!
Winter Scavenger Hunt at Smeck Park | 12/11/2022 Meet at Cruit House to set off on your adventure, search the park and trails for items on the scavenger hunt list and bring the completed sheet back to the house to select a prize!
Winter Light Hike at Alley Park | 12/11/2022 Bundle up for one last look at all the Christmas lights at Alley Park and take a self-guided hike through the lights around Lake Loretta after dark. Afterwards, enjoy concessions and bonfires behind the nature center before heading home.
Holly Jolly Trolley | 12/11/2022 Enjoy a trolley ride for an hour-long holiday light tour around Lancaster featuring carols, trivia, holiday goodies, a hot chocolate bar, and more! This event is for all ages.

Ceramic Ornaments | 12/08/2022 Make your own ceramic ornaments at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio! In the first class, students will make six clay ornaments which will be fired in the kiln. During the second class, students will glaze their ornaments. After final firing, ornaments will be ready for pick up!
Pine Wreath Workshop | 12/08/2022 Visit Lancaster Greenhouse & Nursery for a DIY pine wreath class! This workshop includes a 24″ fresh evergreen wreath as well as a large assortment of festive decorations to add to your liking.
Winter Decorations for Little Ones | 12/10/2022 Visit the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio for a special winter decorations class! This event is for children between the ages of 6 and 10. Students in this class will enjoy making winter decorations for indoors and out.

A Christmas Evening on the Frontier at Smeck Park | 12/10/2022 Come see and be a part of this recreation of period-correct holiday traditions including cooking techniques! Learn 18th-century lore where some myths may be debunked, play tavern games, listen to songs and sing carols with Captain Joseph Ogle’s Company.

New Year’s Eve at the Georgian Museum | 12/31/2022 Celebrate New Year’s Eve in style with a collaborative event between Gay Fad Studios and the Georgian Museum in downtown Lancaster.
Glass Town Countdown | 12/31/2022 – 1/01/2023 Join your friends and family for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration! Enjoy the free, family-friendly street party at Zane Square in downtown Lancaster where you can explore local shops and restaurants. Drink delicious hot chocolate or carry a drink within the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area; then capture the memory with a photo next to the glass globe. Make sure to stick around till midnight as we start the new year off with a bang– a fabulous fireworks show!
