Description
It’s that time of year again! Time to try to catch the famous white and pink blooms of the native rhododendrons at Rhondodendron Cove Nature Preserve! Bring the family for a moderate, 1.5-mile hike to see if one of the largest population of rhododendrons in Ohio is in bloom! Be prepared for mud and uneven terrain with proper hiking equipment (boots or closed-toed shoes and hiking sticks) and water. There are no restrooms on site. Join them at the Rhododendron Cove SNP parking lot, just 30 minutes from Hocking Hills. Please note that this parking lot is a small gravel lot surrounded by a gas pump station, next to Wahkeena Nature Preserve. The sign is not obvious from the road.
