Get ready to dance the night away on Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. The dance will take place at the Historical Aircraft Squadron Hangar B at the Fairfield County Airport. Prior to the dance, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a dance lesson to prepare you for an evening of fun! Tickets are $25.00, at the door or online
Hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and soda and water are available for purchase. Feel free to BYOB! Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. Prizes are also awarded for the best 1940s-style costumes.
The Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum houses a variety of planes and military vehicles. Visitors can touch the planes, and even climb into the cockpit and get a feel for what it was like to fly one of these warbirds. Volunteer craftsmen are on hand during museum hours, and they are always happy to chat about the restoration and history of the planes. In addition to the aircraft and vehicles, there are vintage uniforms, weapons, and memorabilia on display. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted. The Museum is open from 9 am – 2 pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
