True, Sam can be a bit of a bully. Please overlook that and join Sam, his wife Sarah, and two of their ten children as they discuss what like was like when the Canal was in full swing. What questions will you have for them? The year 2025 marks the bicentennial of the groundbreaking for the Canal. To celebrate, staff members will be in character during this program. Join Lockville Canal Park for a fun immersive experience. Learn about life in Lockville in the mid- to late-1800s and after. Please meet at the picnic shelter. There are picnic tables with benches in the shelter. If you prefer a lawn chair, bring your own. There are no restroom at this location. Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
