Join Fernando Ruiz and Amy Chastek of the MCM & Vintage Cocktail & Barware Collectors Group for a fun filled afternoon of creating cocktail garnishes and other fancy things for libations.   

You will learn how to: 

  • Create fun and creative garnishes to add to your libations 
  • Express oils from fruits and herbs for building a great cocktail experience 
  • Create homemade bitters and use bitters to enhance and balance drinks 
  • Create your own salt, sugar, and herbal rimming blends
  • And tie it all together with the proper picks, straws, and accessories,
  • Tips on how to dress up your drink and tools you will need to succeed
  • And how to enhance your home experience by adding the right music vibe 

Please call him Fer, the Co-Founder and Creative Director at Potter Ruiz Advertising, Inc.  An indie Boston-based creative boutique. He is also an award-winning Sound designer and Music Production / Engineer.  Craft cocktails have become his favorite form of mixing during his relaxing time at home and he coined “the three cherry rule.”   

Amy, a lifelong educator from Milwaukee, WI, owns and runs The Barware Lady, selling rare and hard-to-find barware online.  She also created the MCM & Vintage Cocktail & Barware group on Facebook in 2012 which now has over 80k vintage collecting enthusiasts.  She is the author of Bitter Mommy, a cookbook that uses beer, wine, and/or booze in its recipes and enjoys a good dirty martini or proper Wisconsin Old Fashion.    

2 hours, $40 per person.  Everyone will leave with a make-your-own bitters kit.
