Join the Fairfield County Heritage Association and Allen Chapel Church for the Second Annual Scipio Smith Day! May 29th is Scipio Smith Day in Lancaster, Ohio, and you can be a part of the celebration. There will be an informal gathering at Allen Chapel Church for speeches, singing, refreshments and an update on the Scipio Smith Statue Project.
Everyone is welcome! Come and celebrate! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and program begins at 6:30 p.m. Why May 29th? May 29, 1821, is the day that Scipio Smith received his full freedom. It was his 25th birthday.
