Description

Jacob Dum, a Pennsylvania native, relocated to Fairfield County, OH in 1834. He built his Federal-style home from bricks fired on the premises and lived there up to the time of his death in November, 1864. This historic property is now owned by the Fords, who operate the home as a charming bed and breakfast in the quiet village of Amanda. This delightful lodging is only a short drive from Lancaster, Circleville, and the Hocking Hills.

This brick Federal style home features original historic walnut and faux painted woodwork. Be sure to spend some time relaxing in the beautiful gardens. The spacious rooms feature private baths with showers, free newspaper, and soft, comfy robes.

All guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast. Coffee or tea will be available at your door upon awakening, and a gourmet breakfast is served in the formal dining room.
