Two murals are transforming Lancaster’s Center Alley into a dynamic retelling of the story of Gay Fad Studios (1939-1963). Illustrated through the vibrant patterns of this local glassware company that had strong ties to Anchor Hocking, these murals seek to revive an amazing part of Lancaster’s history. Learn more about the incredibly uncommon female CEO Fran Taylor, and explore how she came to lead an international company at a time when men dominated the world of business.
The mural was completed in September of 2021.
