Description

The McCleery Covered Bridge (preserved by the Walter Family) was originally 98-feet long, but dry rot has decreased the size to 50-feet. It was built by Jacob Brandt in 1883, a prolific covered bridge builder in the region. It was designed to connect Leonard Road on either side of Walnut Creek, just south of Baltimore. It now spans Fetters Run and is a popular spot on the Lancaster bike path.
