This mural was created in 2017 by artist Jason Goupil.

The painting, which hangs near a dining area of the Kroger store on Memorial Drive, depicts various areas of Lancaster where residents gather, including the Fairfield County Fairgrounds and Rising Park.

“I was inspired by just thinking of the people of the community,” Goupil said.

The painting, 18 feet wide by 5 feet tall, is one of five that the grocery chain, funded that year in central Ohio as part of the Kroger Art Project that showcases the work of area painters as a way of personalizing a chain store.
