Fairfield County Trail of Scarecrows Registration

During the month of October, people will visit 14 communities across the county to vote on their favorite scarecrows! Register your scarecrow, create it, and place it outside your home or business to join the fun! Your display will then be listed on Visit Fairfield County’s “Trail of Scarecrows” digital map!

If your scarecrow gets the most votes, you will win a $50 Visa gift card for the People’s Choice Award in your community. Improve your chance to win by uploading a photo of your finished scarecrow with its name tag here to be included on the voting form.

NEW IN 2023: Introducing… categories! This year’s theme is movies. 🎬 Create a movie-themed scarecrow or compete in another category for a chance to win a special prize. Winners are determined by public vote on the Trail of Scarecrows voting form. Every scarecrow will be eligible to win a People’s Choice Award in its community, but categories are an added county-wide challenge for fun in which viewers will nominate their favorite scarecrows for each category!

Already Registered? Show Us Your Scarecrow!

New to the 2022 Trail of Scarecrows, scarecrow creators can now upload a picture of their scarecrow with its official name tag. Sharing these photos with Visit Fairfield County will allow us to put your scarecrow’s picture on the voting form– helping scarecrow fans remember your display and potentially improving your chance to win! Use the button below to upload a photo of your scarecrow with its name tag (this will help us identify your scarecrow).

Thank you for creating your amazing scarecrow! We can’t wait to see it!
