Description

Celebrate your Independence Day the best way we know how at Buckeye Lake… on a boat! Celebrate on the water with a festive boat parade, showcasing a vibrant display of decorated boats in a patriotic procession across the lake. Whether you’re boating or spectating, this is a can’t-miss tradition at the lake! Continuing the tradition of honoring those who make Buckeye Lake great—this year’s Grand Marshal is none other than the Village of Millersport, proudly leading the parade in celebration of their bicentennial. Legend has it, when you turn 200, you get to lead the way with pride, history, and hometown heart.

Show off your creativity for a chance to win exciting awards and prizes! The Most Patriotic ($200 Award) is sponsored by the Buckeye Lake Chamber of Commerce. The Most Creative ($200 Award) is sponsored by the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association. The People’s Choice ($200 Award) is sponsored by Marnita Swickard & Michelle Blizzard – eMerge Real Estate. How to Vote for People’s Choice: Text the BOAT NUMBER to (740-242-7676) and make your pick! Remember, one vote per phone number only!

Participants will need to register this year to receive an event number to identify their boat and have a chance to win prizes!  Contact Marnita Swickard at 614-419-0478 or marnita@buckeyelake.com to get registered.  Start from Liebs Island and make your way down the lake to Waterfront for final judging.
