Kick off your Wands & Wizards Weekend with a day full of enchantment and discovery. Begin with Abracadabra at AHA! Children’s Museum, where young wizards and witches can explore interactive exhibits and magical activities designed to spark imagination. Then, follow the Pickerington Fairy House Trail Scavenger Hunt to uncover tiny hidden homes tucked throughout the town, each offering surprises for the whole family.
For crafters and potion-masters, the School of Claycraft & Magik (Adults Only) invites you to shape your own magical creations, while Brew Your Own Potion at L-City Coffee+ lets participants concoct a specialty potion drink to sip and savor. Across three Fairfield County District Library branches, a variety of mystical entrapments await—from spellbinding scavenger hunts to hands-on wizard lessons, offering opportunities for knowledge, creativity, and a touch of magic at every turn.
As night falls, don’t miss An Evening at Mugworts at Mambourg Park, where enchanted performances, stories, and whimsical surprises set the stage for a truly magical evening.
Businesses throughout Fairfield County transform into realms of fantasy, offering themed bites, magical brews, and whimsical experiences that make the day unforgettable.
A Sample of Saturday Magic
Throughout the day, discover experiences as varied as a wizard’s spellbook. Get A Taste of the Markets at this special edition of the Lancaster Farmers Market, then step into a fully enchanted world at the Fairfield County District Library’s main branch, where dark magic has trapped a reader in the world of fantasy. Brave realms like Mordor, The Forbidden Forest, and the Court of the Red Queen as you navigate a self-led scavenger hunt, snap selfies at fantastical photo stations, and encounter costumed characters around every corner. Sink your teeth into something delectable from enchanted menus at local restaurants serving up themed bites and brews, and watch as businesses across the county transform into destinations brimming with whimsy. As with all Wands & Wizards events, costumes are encouraged—let your imagination guide you through the magic.
Wee Wizards Wand Workshop – Decorative Arts Center of Ohio
- Young wizards will decorate a magical nature wand with baubles and bangles

Be sure not to miss:
- Madam Mugg’s Magical Mercantile (aka Tracie Lynn’s Collection) will be wildly decorated for the weekend. Shop wands, hats, jewelry & enjoy creative photo ops. Participate in Quidditch Cornhole from 12 pm–1 pm and 4 pm–5 pm on Saturday. Also, there will be random on-the-street trivia questions to earn a Madam Mugg’s token for the Wizard drop prize.

The Pocket Potion Pass experience begins when you stop at the Visit Fairfield County Visitor Center (128 N. Broad Street) in downtown Lancaster. Pick up your goodie bag and event program before setting out on your adventure.
Wands & Wizards Weekend takes place across several communities in Fairfield County, including Lancaster, Pickerington, and Carroll. Businesses and organizations in these areas will host fun, family-friendly events that will make you feel as though you’ve stepped into another world. Visit local restaurants to sample potions fresh from the cauldron, enjoy scavenger hunts to find fantastical creatures, or enroll in a class to create your own wand or magic orb.
