Description

Nestled on the southwest corner of Buckeye Lake at 3940 South Bank Road, Alexander’s Landing has been family-owned since its founding in 1870, when it was known as Hamilton Place—a bustling canal-side stop featuring a hotel, stable, and boat rentals  In 1925, the business was renamed Alexander’s Landing under George Alexander, and by 1947, it became one of Ohio’s earliest Mercury outboard motor dealers—a cornerstone of its enduring marina legacy.

Today, this third-generation, award-winning operation still welcomes boaters year-round with full-service offerings: boat and engine sales (including Avalon pontoons, Mercury & MerCruiser engines), parts, certified maintenance, slips, seasonal docks, and winter storage. The original dock remains in use, a living testament to its rich, nearly 155-year history.

Recognized as a historic site by the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society in 2004, Alexander’s Landing honors its canal-era roots while delivering modern, top-tier boating experiences—backed by Master Technicians, fellowships with marine associations, and multiple Mercury Premier Dealer awards.

Whether you’re launching from its iconic wooden pier, exploring the heritage, or fueling up for the day, Alexander’s Landing offers a blend of deep tradition and trusted service—making every visit part of Buckeye Lake’s ongoing story.
