    "Into the Woods" is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood,“ “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Rapunzel,” and “Cinderella,” as well as several others. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has cursed them, and their journey into the woods.

    Monday Night Jazz with Byron Stripling at the Lancaster Festival

    With a contagious smile and captivating charm, trumpet virtuoso, Byron Stripling, has ignited audiences internationally. As soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra, Stripling has performed frequently under the baton of Keith Lockhart, as well as being featured soloist on the PBS television special, "Evening at Pops," with conductors John Williams and Mr. Lockhart. Currently, Stripling serves as the principal pops conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony and the artistic director and conductor of the highly acclaimed Columbus Jazz Orchestra.

    Community Brunch

    Gather downtown with your family and friends that have returned home to enjoy the Lancaster Festival one last time before the grand finale. A delicious brunch bar will be provided by Provisions Bakery and Deli containing bagels and assorted pastries, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, beverages and more. Get your brunch ticket ahead of time. Seating will be limited. A Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar will cap off the perfect brunch. The Nostalgics will provide music to enjoy along with your brunch!
