Beginner’s Birding at Shallenberger

Steps at Shallenberger Nature Preserve.

Description

Want to learn the difference between a cardinal and a crow? Come for a 1.5-mile moderate exploration of Shallenberger State Nature Preserve. You will travel up and down Allen’s Knob to find out if birds of a feather will actually flock together. They will be meeting at the Shallenberger preserve parking lot. This hike is great for elementary school ages and up. Bring proper hiking equipment, water, binoculars, and a camera. If you do not have binoculars, some will be provided while supplies last. There are no restrooms on site.
