Is there a tree in your backyard you have been trying to identify. Have you ever gone for a walk and wondered what trees you’re seeing? Learn what to look for when identifying trees to recognize common species. This hike will be partially off-trail. This program is being held in Coyote Run, a private nature preserve. You should not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life. There is a no alcohol and no smoking policy. Let’s thank the host by observing these simple requests. Potable water is not available at this location; bring your own drinking water. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent. Pets are never allowed in nature preserves. Please do not bring pets to this event. Keep in mind that trail conditions vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy or slippery conditions. Dress for the day’s weather conditions. Some of the hikes may be off-trail. This event is for ages 8+. Pickerington Parks & Recreation (PPR) is handling registrations. To register, click the link here.
