Park After Dark – FREE EVENT – Registration is Required!
Come join our outdoor education staff at Alley Park on Friday, May 2nd for a Park After Dark Event in partnership with the COSi Science Festival Community STEAM Events.
Activity stations will include: a night hike, moth identification station, nature center visit with live animals, and scrumptious s’mores over the campfire.
Registration is required for all individuals that plan to attend. Register at https://lancasteroh.myrec.com/info/activities/default.aspx and click on “Park After Dark”. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Following that event, beginning around 9 pm, there will be a FREE Star Gazing Night at the Eagle’s Nest Disc Golf Course just down the road. Stop by and view the night sky through the telescopes! Sights to look forward to on a clear night are Mars, maybe Jupiter, Clusters and Galaxies! No registration is required for Star Gazing.
Alley Park is located at 2805 Old Logan Rd SE, Lancaster, OH 43130. It has 350 acres of woods, with over 7 miles of hiking trails, two lakes, disc golf course, historic covered bridge, restored log cabin, and an educational nature center.
Eagle’s Nest Disc Golf Course is a half mile South of the main park entrance.
Dress appropriately to be outdoors after dark.
