Description
Do you know Ohio’s State Native Fruit? That’s right; it is the paw paw! You will set out in search of fabulous paw paws and, yes, taste what you find at Smeck Park. You may even go off trail, so be ready to hike up to 2.5 miles! There will be frequent stops for nature interpretation along the way. Meet at Cruit House, the log-framed house seen upon entering the park. Please do not bring pets to this particular program. Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Depending on the season, you may wish to bring insect repellent and sunscreen or sunhat.
