The last step of a project is binding and some of us face this with a bit of dread. This class at the Farmer’s Country Store focuses on a “self binding” method, which creates perfect mitered corners using your backing fabric and your everyday sewing machine. For this class you need to have a project ready for binding that has 2 inches of fabric on each side of the project (4 total in length and 4 total in width). They are finishing placements, but you can bring any small project (placemat, table runner, wall hanging). The key will be to have extra fabric that can be pulled around for binding. The cost is $35 and includes a small ruler. You will need to bring your sewing machine, basic sewing supplies, and a project.
