Skulls, Furs, & Fun at Mambourg Park

Description

Which is larger – the skull of a fox or a raccoon? See and touch different furs and skulls at Mambourg Park. Learn tips and tricks that will help you identify them. Then, we will set out to hike one-mile-long Oak Trail to look for signs of mammals such as their tracks and scat (poop)! The Oak Trail is about one mile long, includes a set of steps and a footbridge, and may be considered easy-to-moderate. Pets are not allowed on Oak Trail nor inside the nature center. Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy or slippery conditions. Meet in the nature center. Reminder: Pets are not allowed inside the nature center. Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location.
