The Education staff is very good at identifying trees – they are tall, have bark, and, sometimes, leaves. If you already know that, how would you like to learn more? Even in the winter when most trees lose their leaves, there are still ways to identify them. Join Mambourg Park in the nature center for a short presentation followed by a one-mile-long hike on the Oak Trail. This hike is best suited for ages 18 and older. Meet in the nature center just before 2:00 so the program may begin promptly. Please do not brings pets to this program.
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy or slippery conditions. The Oak Trail is about one mile long, includes a set of steps and a footbridge, and may be considered easy-to-moderate. Pets are not allowed on Oak Trail nor inside the nature center.
