Local artist Jonathan Remoquillo was commissioned by the county to create this mural that was designed to help educate people about the importance of foster care. The county hopes that this will inspire placemaking and good community spirit. Fairfield County Administrator Carri Brown said the mural will feature family-type activities inspired by stories that come from real life foster-family activities. “It’s the concept of promoting families and foster families, honoring those who serve as foster parents, and honoring the kinds of things we do to remove barriers to becoming a foster parent.”
