Description
There are two very interesting features to this park! Very little is known about Cross Mound, a mound in the shape of a plus sign, or cross, with four identical arms each about 12′ wide, 3′ high, and 45′ long. There are smaller stone mounds near the cross. Also on site is the picturesque WPA Pedestrian Bridge. It was built in 1936 and is the only WPA project remaining in Fairfield County.
