This mural was created by local artist Lauren Leibold, a graduate from Miami University with a BA in Art and Architectural History and a BFA with concentrations in painting and ceramics. Her works feature a high degree of detail, as well as vibrant colors to reflect her positive outlook on life. As the home of Ohio’s only festival completely dedicated to honey, it is no surprise that the artist chose this subject matter. There are a variety of apiaries scattered across Fairfield County. This mural helps to illustrate the important role that honeybees play in our region and around the world.
