Description
The Lancaster Camp Ground is a quaint and unique destination at Lancaster’s Edge where the city meets rolling hills. Despite the passage of time, the community’s charm and values in which it was founded, remain intact.
Originally built as a spiritual site where Christians would pilgrimage for tent revivals and fellowship in the late 1880s, the Camp Ground quickly became a permanent small community of wooden cottages where residents still reside today– some year-round and others seasonally.
While the Camp Ground is no longer affiliated with a particular religious organization, it maintains and embraces its Christian roots. The Camp Ground still provides Sunday worship services and has grown to offer RV camping, recreation activities, lodging, camps, museum tours, and several venue rentals for small and large gatherings.
Amenities include a pool, concessions, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, walking trails, Sunday worship services, a café, and more.
