Sherman Trail: Used by General Sherman’s army during the Battle of Shiloh and during the March to the sea. Donated to Lancaster by General Sherman for the local GAR. In the 1960s, the townspeople donated it to have it restored (also the plaque for Medal of Honor winners from the Civil War). The first medal winner was from Lancaster, Jacob Parrott.
