Fairfield County Trail of Scarecrows
An event loved throughout the entire county, the Fairfield County Trail of Scarecrows is the perfect fall trail to get out and explore! Named, “The Scarecrow Capital of Ohio,” Fairfield County has 14 communities displaying only the best scarecrows from local businesses, organizations and residents during the entire month of October.

- Haunted Farm in Pleasantville

Known for their “Farm Fresh Fear” the Haunted Farm in Pleasantville includes a haunted barn and corn maze. Celebrate the holiday of horror with guaranteed “more screams per acre” than any other farm around!
- Public Ghost Hunt at Fairfield County Infirmary

Mix a bit of history with some scary ghost stories and what do you get? Featured on the Travel Channel, the former hospital is the best place to test your ghost hunting abilities, and courage, this Halloween.
- Self Guided Flashlight Tour at the Fairfield County Infirmary

Dive deep into the “most haunted building in Southern Ohio” with 41,000 sq. ft. and no lights but the Exit signs! B.Y.O.F. (Bring Your Own Flashlight) and see if you have what it takes to make it through the 200 year old Infirmary.
- Clown Maze at Hartland Farm

The Clown Maze at Hartland Farm takes the phrase, “clowning around” to a whole new level. Make your way through this dark maze with only your flashlight in hand and be wary as the not-so-funny clowns creep out at night.

Think you’re hearing voices? Join the Fairfield County Heritage Association for a walk in Elmwood Cemetery and listen to actors as they portray those buried in the cemetery!

Located at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, Freedom’s Never Free is an annual appreciation celebration for our Veterans, Military and First Responders.
