This is the third of the 2025 Winter Hike Series at Mambourg Park. If you haven’t yet, make Fairfield County Park District’s winter hikes your annual winter tradition with friends and family, including the four-legged ones. Walk the Oak and/or Hickory trails, then warm up with hot drinks and chili. Trail conditions will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy, snowy, or icy and slippery conditions. Hickory Trail is about 1.5 miles long. Oak Trail is about 1 mile long. Most hikers will finish in about an hour. Those who wish to enjoy hot drinks and refreshments should start the trail between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Refreshments will be served from 10:30 until 12:30 p.m. Begin your day at either trail or pick up a trail map in the nature center. Potable water is not available at this location. Bring your own drinking water.
