From Broadway shows to Disney spectaculars, designer and animator Gabriel Aronson a.k.a Artomaton has created worlds on some of the biggest stages in the US, abroad, and even at sea! In this dynamic multimedia talk, he invites you behind the scenes of his latest project: The Fair, a richly imagined retro-futurist World’s Fair powered by storytelling, design, and explorations with Artificial Intelligence. At the end there will be a Q & A and induction into the Fair’s adventurous scouting troop—the Futurenauts!

Outside of Artomaton, Gabriel has built an international career at the intersection of theater and animation, specializing in projection and video design. His work has appeared on Broadway in productions such as Anastasia, Aladdin, and The Wiz, as well as at the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, London’s Royal Ballet at Covent Garden, and the West End. He has created visuals for performances by Prince, Mariah Carey, and James Taylor, and contributed content for the Grammy Awards and Golden Globes.

When not tethered to land, he travels as an itinerant animator at sea, creating projection content for shows on a dozen ships with Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean.
