Description
As the air cools and days get shorter, the forests put on a spectacular display of colors. Learn the secret behind this annual event and its importance to the woodland ecology at Wahkeena Nature Preserve. Other interesting topics of natural history will also be explored along the way. Meet at least five minutes before the start time in the nature center. This is the second of five 2025 fall foliage hikes! This program is for ages 12+. The trails are rugged and not suitable for strollers and wagons. Bring your own drinking water. You may wish to consider using an insect repellent. Pets are never allowed in any nature preserve.
