Description
Join the Fairfield County Park District in the haiku hike at Mambourg Park. For those who don’t know, a haiku is a poem consisting of 17 syllables written in three lines of five-seven-five syllables. This practice is traditionally used to evoke and inspire images of the natural world. This activity will start at the nature center at noon and there are two hiking trails to choose from: Hickory Trail (1.5 miles) (easy/moderate) & Oak Trail(1 mile)(easy/moderate).
You are asked to bring your own water, insect repellent, and sunscreen if needed.
Leashed pets are welcome on Hickory Trail, but pets are not welcome in the nature center nor on Oak Trail.
