Break the Mold: Seasons of Change Sculpture


Description

This sculpture is part of the Downtown Lancaster Sculpture Exhibition, sponsored by Destination Downtown Lancaster in collaboration with area high school art programs, Blue Shoe Arts and local sculptor, Ric Leichliter. Art students from Fisher Catholic, Lancaster, and Millersport High Schools, the Crossroads Center for Youth, and the clients of Blue Shoes Arts conceived, designed, and modeled their creations under the mentorship of their teachers and Ric Leichliter. Fabrication and installation was facilitated by Ric and other local artists.

This particular sculpture was sponsored by Lancaster High School 2016 National Art Honor Society. The Visual Arts Educator was Mrs. Shannon Fish and Mr. Ric Leichliter was the Mentor Sculptor. The Student Artists/Sculpture Committee included Remington Burwell, Gillan Chute, Kellie Crawford, Olivia Daniels, Lize Dwyer, Michelle Ellerman, Devin Fetty, Daniel Griffin, Tyler Gordon, Annie Hansen, Luke Hester, Hope Kimble, Haili Mathias, Ren McConnell, Myka McCuistion, Draven McMillen, Hannah Robinson, Gabby Roth, Kirsten Spires, Amanda Stuckey, and Megan “Dani” Witt.
